Curious about faith?

Join us for 8 weeks of exploration of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. Each night begins with a free meal together where you get to know the people in your group. After dessert, there is a 30-45min video session covering one of the key ideas of what Christianity is all about, followed by a discussion time where you can share your opinion or ask your questions about the topic. Each evening begins at 6pm and we end at 8:00pm. There is no cost to you for taking the Alpha Course as our church family has sponsored the cost of the evening, we just want you to come and be our guest! No matter your background or beliefs, you are invited to join us. Childcare will be provided for children 4+.

Runs every Tuesday for 8 weeks (January 21 - March 11, 2025)

Freedom Session will be running at Sardis Fellowship starting Thursday September 19th at 7pm. Freedom Session is a powerful, healing-discipleship journey, inviting you to rewrite your story with a God-inspired ending.

As you open your life, hurts and will to the leadership of Jesus, and invite Him to reinterpret the painful memories that Satan uses to keep you in bondage, Jesus will heal your heart, set you free and give you a vision for life you never thought possible.

Sardis Youth 2025 Kickoff at Castle Fun Park!

Start the new year with fun, friendship, and memories at Castle Fun Park with your friends and youth leaders! This is a great opportunity to strengthen our sense of belonging and togetherness as we journey together in faith and following Jesus.

IMPORTANT: All participants are required to complete online registration to participate. We have limited seats on the bus, so priority registration will be offered to youth who have regularly attended Youth as a way to thank them for their commitment.

Cost: $15* (this fee includes a $25 Playcard, as well as the bus ride to and from Castle Fun Park) (*Sponsorship is available upon request)

On the day of the event: Please arrive at the church by 6:40PM on Wednesday, January 15. The bus will leave from the church promptly at 7:00PM. We expect to arrive back at the church by 9:00PM. You are welcome to take your child directly to the venue at Castle Fun Park if you expect to be late.

Ruth and Naomi's Mission is "transforming the lives of people experiencing homelessness, poverty, or struggling with addiction by bringing hope and healing through the love of God."

Sardis Fellowship has the opportunity to serve a meal at RAN every second Monday of the month from 5:45-7:15pm. We will be serving the food and cleaning up afterwards and need 6-10 volunteers per night that are 16 years or older.

Ruth and Naomi’s is located at 41630 Margaret Avenue. Arrive at 5:45pm and go to the smaller office building not the multi-story housing building. The Hall Entrance has a white canopy over it and once inside talk to the RAN host. The host will show you where you are to serve and what needs to be done. Enjoy time serving and visiting with people, then helping with taking down tables and cleaning up. Clean up is usually finished by 7:15pm.

Join us for a day of prayer and fasting on December 2nd. You can choose to participate in this day of prayer however you would like, wherever you find yourself.

As an initiative to increase our dependency on the Spirit, and seeking God to do a transformative work in and through Sardis Fellowship, we set aside the first day of the month to fast and pray. We know not everyone is able to do this in the same way, or to the same degree, so we ask you to consider how you can make this work for you. 

Each month we highlight something to focus on, whether that be in the life of our church family, our local community or world. Sometimes we have specific things for you to pray through and sometimes we just give you the focus and allow God’s Spirit to guide you in your prayer time around that topic. 

If we as a church family want to see the transformative power of God at work in our lives, the lives of our loved ones, and the community we live in, then we need to seek Him in prayer. I trust you’ll join us each month. Pastor Rod Heppell.

January 6th: Prayer and Fasting

Our focus this month will be praying for the start up of our Alpha program. Pray for the people joining the program as well as the volunteers and people leading the course. Pray for the people to be able to dive deep and learn more about the love of God.

The word discipline may cause many of us to recoil. It sounds too much like the cough syrup which boasts, “It tastes awful. And it works.” In this evening seminar we will explore the spiritual disciplines and see that although requiring attentiveness and commitment, they enable us to experience joy and growth in our walk with God. I think you will agree, they are much better than that famous cough syrup. So come on out and enjoy some coffee, tea, home-made desserts, learning and table discussion together.

This is an potluck inviting people to bring a dish from their home country to share. Nov 3rd is the international day of prayer for the persecuted church and we are inviting a guest speaker that our church is supporting this year to come and share her story of growing up in a closed country and the persecution her family faced there.
