Men’s Quad Weekend Retreat

June 7-9
Coalmont, BC

Men and their sons (12+) are invited to come out to Coalmont for a weekend of fellowship and fun. This is a great way to connect with other men in the life of our church for mutual encouragement in our walk with God through study, discussion, testimonies, food, and fun in God's creation. There are lots of quads and side-by-sides to share, but you are welcome to bring your own ride if you prefer. To cover some fuel and food, the cost is $25/person/day for a total of $75 if you plan to attend the whole weekend. Rustic cabin accommodations are provided, but please bring your own bedding and plan to pitch in with cleaning or the kitchen at some point during the weekend! Those who sign up first will get preferred beds, and we will do our best to accommodate everyone who signs up. We look forward to seeing you in scenic Coalmont! 

Arrival/Departure

Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to/from the retreat, although carpooling can likely be arranged.
We know everyone has different schedules, so arrive anytime that works for you on Friday afternoon. (Most head out after work.) Attend for the whole weekend, or just one day. It’s up to you. We plan to wrap up on Sunday afternoon.

Do I need to own a quad to attend?

No. There are lots of quads and side-by-sides on site for use and to share, but you are welcome to bring your own ride if you prefer.

What is the cost?

To cover some fuel and food, the cost is $25/person/day for a total of $75 if you plan to attend the whole weekend.

What are the accommodations?

Join us every other Thursday morning as we read through and discuss the book "Great Mentoring: For Real Life Change" written by Douglas C Ward and Sharon Simmonds.

Every other Thursday | 6:30-7:30AM
April 21st, May 5th, 19th, June 2nd, 16th, 30th, July 14th (7 sessions)
Cost: $10 per person (to cover study materials).

Sardis Men Outdoor Breakfast

Bring your own lawn chair.

Join us on Saturday, March 5th outdoors in the Church Parking Lot for a Men's Breakfast. We'll connect with another around propane fire pits for discussion on the theme: being challenged to make small incremental changes in our daily lives that will have a long term impact on our relationships (w/ God, marriage, work colleagues, etc.).

The breakfast is open to any men (and their sons) in the church, as well as any friends, neighbours or co-workers that you'd like to bring along.

Please bring $5 cash (per person), your own lawn chair, and feel free to bring your own coffee mug too (although coffee and tea will be provided).

Also, if you are able, we could use your help.

Please let Kyle Froese (kyle.d.froese@gmail.com) know if you are able to help with any of the following: setting up tents/tables, lending a propane heater or fire pit, cooking breakfast, clean up.

During the winter of 2021, Sardis Men is hoping all of our guys can engage with "For Men Only" by Shaunti and Jeff Feldhahm, either by reading the book or watching through their video content on Right Now Media.

We’d like to also have a chance to discuss this material in-person. So, join us on Thursday Mornings before work, between 6:45-7:30 a.m. We will also be watching through the corresponding video sessions prior to our discussion, it is optional, but if you’d like to join a bit earlier please arrive at 6:30 a.m. (sharp).

This book will be helpful for us to read and talk through in our endeavour to become better husbands and have a healthy marriage!

The book is available wherever you get your books, or could also acquire an audio book or an e-book if you’d prefer. We will be purchasing some physical copies and you purchase one through us (Price TBD).
