Youth Small Group Night

Guys only! Grades 6-12 come on out for a fun evening of paintball! August 21st from 6-8pm at Sniperz Paintball (46191 Chilliwack Lake Road) Drop off and pick up at the Paintball location. Cost is $35 per person which includes 200 paintballs, rental gear, and field entry. Bring extra money if you wish to buy more paintballs ($5 for 100).

All youth come on out for a fun scavenger hunt! There will be prizes for the winning team! All youth teams will be accompanied by a leader or parent for the scavenger hunt. Please sign-up ahead of time, so we know how many adults we need on site!

Our annual Youth Olympics event is a night of fun-filled team challenges, competing to have your name put on the coveted youth olympics trophy on display in the youth room. All youth from grades 6-12 are welcome to participate, and are sure to have a blast as we engage in this awesome yet friendly competition of classic youth games.

A hilarious and fun opportunity to learn new things about each other, showcase cool things that you like, and share some great laughs and memories!

The Talent Show is always a fantastic time and we hope you come on out and participate! You don’t have to be an expert and we invite you to get creative.

What types of talent are you looking for?

You could do things like:

• Handstands, Acrobatics, or Parkour

• Displaying art you’ve made or sharing them in a slideshow (hand drawn pictures, paintings, carvings, lego builds, etc)

• Music! Whether singing a song, playing an instrument, performing in an airband, or making your own beats at home!

• Card tricks, solving a Rubik’s cube, speedrunning a puzzle, or other fun activities

• Sharing tricks or funny moments with your pets

• Putting together an epic meme compilation in a slideshow

• Creating and editing your own homemade video (3 minutes max for videos)

• Coming up with a funny act performed by you and your friends!

Anything else I should know?

If you are making a video, slideshow, or anything digital (3 minutes or less and must be appropriate, please), it needs to be submitted to Youth Director Richard Franckiewicz by Feb 15th.

The best way to submit digital content to Richard is by uploading it to Google Drive and sharing a link with Richard via email.

Sardis Youth Christmas Banquet

This year's Sardis Youth Christmas Banquet is going to be an awesome time of fellowship and fun! We're going to have a full meal together (totally free), engage in light-hearted Christmas themed competition, and you can win great prizes!

We'll also spend some time in discussion to help us focus on the meaning behind all the celebration around Christmas.

This event has a dress code: formal! (fancy!) So be sure to dress up! Invite your friends and be ready to have a great time! We look forward to seeing you there!

Parents, we need your help!

For this event, we're going to need help with food prep and decorating. We want to serve a big spread, so we'll need plenty of hands in the kitchen on the day of the event. We also have tons of decorations we want to set up to make the auditorium look fantastic, so we'll need as many hands as we can get to help with that on the evening prior to the event (Tuesday, December 14th). Students can also volunteer to help with decorating, provided that one of their parents is also volunteering to help decorate.

Let's give back to others with acts of kindness! Join us on November 26th as we do some things together to love others well. We will be breaking off into smaller groups and heading off-site to do a handful of service projects, and acts of kindness. Your group might be baking cookies for elderly people, raking leaves for someone, or cleaning up garbage by a park or trail.

Sardis Youth Small Group Night

Open to all youth gr.6-12. No sign-up required.*

Small Group Night is an opportunity for your small group to get to have some fun and connect together doing activities picked by your small group. You could be doing something like watching a movie on the big projector in the Church Auditorium, running a Super Smash Bros. tournament, going to play Lazer Tag, baking cookies together at your Youth Leader's house, or some other awesome activity your small group comes up with.

Here is a list of what each small group is doing on November 3rd:

Grade 6-8 girls:

• 7-9pm in the Main Auditorium at the church (use the front main doors)

• Activities: Watching a movie on the big screen and eating movie snacks! Bring your favorite movie snack (for yourself, not to share).

• Cost: Free; no sign-up required.

Grade 6-8 boys:

• 6:30-9:00pm, taking a bus to Abbotsford to go to the VRcade! (Sign-up required).

• To sign up: email, text, or call Richard to reserve a spot before 6:00pm on Wednesday.

• The bus is leaving from the church at 6:30pm (arrive 6:15), and returning to the church for 9pm.

• Cost: $15 (cash only)

Grade 9-12 girls:

• 7-9pm, in the Fireside Room at the church (use the front main doors)

• Activities: Watching a movie, playing board games, and eating pizza!

• Cost: Bring $5 cash for pizza, no sign-up required.

Grade 9-12 boys:

• 7-9pm, in the Youth Room at the church(use stairwell doors)

• Activities: Video games, board games, and nachos in the youth room!

• Cost: Free; no sign-up required

Sardis Youth Costume Night

Open to all youth, and their friends, grade 6-12.

It’s just like a regular Sardis Youth night, but with Halloween costumes and candy!

Costumes must be: appropriate, and not too scary, as there will be 10 year olds (grade 6's) present at the event. This is meant to be a fun event for everyone, not a scary one. If a costume is deemed too scary or inappropriate by the standards of a Youth Leader, a student may be required to change from their costume into regular clothes.

Pets are not allowed at this event, that’s just for the photo.

Sardis Youth at the Chilliwack Corn Maze

Chilliwack Corn Maze (41905 Yale Road West Chilliwack, V2R 4J4)
Cost: $13.50* (ages 15 & up) or $11.50* (ages 10-14) *Costs includes $1 group discount.
Sign-up required. (Link to sign-up below.) Sign-up in advance, pay in person.
Fees should be paid to Youth Director Richard Franckiewicz in person (cash only, please) at the event, or in advance to Richard on any youth night in September (15th, 22nd, 29th).
Open to all youth, and their friends, grades 6-12.

Sardis Youth, you are invited to join us at the Chilliwack Corn Maze! This event is always a lot of fun. We will be meeting as a group at the maze, and please come prepared with boots (it gets muddy!) and a flashlight.
