Tim Voth
Community Life Pastor
What is your role as the Community Life Pastor at Sardis Fellowship?
I get to help our church find deeper community through Life Groups and by overseeing our various ministries in the church (family, men’s, women’s, senior’s). I also get to reach out into the community by partnering with our neighbours and running events for our local community like VBS soccer camp. I currently also oversee Worship Arts.
How long have you been working in this role?
Since April 2019
Previously, I held a part-time role as Worship Director for 5 years.
What do you love about what you do?
What I love most is seeing people find deeper community where they feel they belong and can grow in discipleship. Total attachment to Jesus is a lifelong journey that we can’t do on our own, we need each other. So I love when people find that connection and can flourish in their faith and love for one another.
If you could recommend a favourite place in Chilliwack what would it be and why?
As a family with 4 little ones we love to go to Yarrow. I grew up in Yarrow for part of my childhood, so not only is it nostalgic, but also a lot of fun. We go to the skatepark and my boys scooter there (while I still try to skateboard...), then we hit up the Mighty Moose for some refreshing ice cream, and finish it off by playing at the playground there. An ideal outing for a young family!
