Sardis Youth Film Fest
Youth Grades 6-12 | Free!
No sign-up required to attend, but video submissions need to be made in advance. (See below for more information.)
Leader: Richard Franckiewicz
Our Sardis Youth Annual Film Fest is a beloved event where our students create and share awesome and hilarious homemade videos!
What kinds of films can I create?
Grab your phone (or ask for your parents') and get some friends together and make a video to show at youth! It can be anything! But, submissions must be appropriate in both content and language. Inappropriate submissions will not be shown at Film Fest. A good rule of thumb, if you wouldn't show it to your parents, we probably won't show it at youth. (Also, editing your video before submitting is strongly recommended.)
If you don’t want to make a video, you can submit a link to a Youtube video instead! The Youtube video must be up to a maximum of 60 seconds long. The deadline for submitting a Youtube video is the same as submitting a homemade video (Monday, Nov. 22nd). Any Youtube video submissions must also be appropriate, and the funnier they are the better!
How can I submit a film?
There is a sign-up sheet at youth on Wednesdays to let us know what you're planning, so please do sign-up in advance.
Submissions can be made with a group, or individually, and each submission must be up to a maximum of 3 minutes long. The most reliable method to submit videos is by uploading them to your Google Drive, and then sharing a link to the video file with Richard by copy & pasting the link into an email. You can submit your video via email to Richard at richard@sardisfellowship.com or over Discord, and the link to the Youth Discord server can be found at the bottom of our Sardis Youth Page.
When should I submit my film?
Submissions must be received no later than Monday, November 22nd so they can be reviewed prior to Film Fest.
So, make some awesome videos and be ready for one of the funniest nights of the year!
